Who we are
A small independent editorial team, credited as the Fansipan Summit Guide editors. We are not part of Sun Group, which runs the cable car, or of Hoàng Liên National Park or any tour operator.
We have not been up Fansipan ourselves. We write from sources and say which one each fact comes from.
How facts are checked
- Each table is dated. Fact tables carry a source link and the date we read it. The first check for this site was 23 October 2026.
- Prices change. Cable car fares differ between Sun Group’s guide and newer travel reports, so we print both and say which is which.
- Gaps are left blank. Where we could not confirm something, such as the current permit fee for independent trekkers, we say so instead of guessing.
- Maps come from OpenStreetMap. Trailhead pins are approximate where the path starts away from a mapped point.
How the site earns money
Some pages link to tours and tickets on GetYourGuide, Viator and Klook, and to hotels. If you book through one of those links, we earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

If a price or time here is out of date, the sources page lists what we read and when, so you can check it against the original.
